Privacy Policy

Pawhala (“Pawhala”, “we”, “us”) is operated by BBE Retail LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect when you use pawhala.com and the Pawhala application, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@pawhala.com.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image. We do not receive your Google password.

Content you provide. Résumé text and files you upload, job descriptions you paste, profile details you enter, and the résumés and cover letters generated for you.

Usage data. Counts and timestamps of optimizations and cover letters, plan status, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan status. We never receive or store your full card number.

How we use your information

• Provide the service — parse résumés, run gap analysis, and generate optimized résumés and cover letters.
• Enforce free-plan limits and manage your subscription.
• Process payments through Stripe.
• Respond to support requests and send service-related notices.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

To generate output, the text of your résumé and the job description are sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic, Google, and Groq). These providers process the content to return a result and, under the API terms we use, do not use it to train their models. We do not sell your content or use it to train models of our own.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate Pawhala — hosting and database providers, AI providers, and Stripe for payments — and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. We do not sell personal information. If the business is transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention and deletion

Your résumé history is kept until you delete individual entries or ask us to close your account. You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@pawhala.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. Some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

Pawhala is operated from the United States and information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Children

Pawhala is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
